Morning light does half the work.

We roast in small batches so every bag is fresh by the time it reaches the bar. By eight the sun clears the buildings and runs the length of the long table, and from the back window Table Mountain is right there waiting.

Pull up a stool, ask what’s on filter, and take your time. Nobody is rushing you out the door.

On the bar and the pass

What we pour and cook most mornings. It shifts with the season, so ask at the counter.

Coffee

Flat whiteOur house espresso blend with silky milk, poured at the bar.

Filter of the dayA single origin brewed by the cup. Ask what’s on.

CortadoEqual parts espresso and warm milk, short and strong.

Iced coffee tonicEspresso over tonic and ice. Bright, bitter, very good in summer.

Breakfast

Eggs on seeded sourdoughSoft scrambled with chive butter, toasted until it crunches.

Rye toast with whipped fetaTomato jam, torn herbs and a little chilli.

Bread from the shelfLoaves and buns baked for us each morning, gone by lunch.
